Stenvrik is an invite-only closed beta. The headlines belong to their publishers, the service comes as-is, and German law applies. The long version follows.
01 · THE SERVICE
Stenvrik (stenvrik.com) is a news aggregation and visualization service operated by Thorsten Meyer, Blombergstr. 11 C, 82393 Iffeldorf, Germany (see Impressum). It displays headlines and excerpts from publicly available RSS feeds, pinned to cities on an interactive globe, and links every story to the original article. The service is currently a closed beta: invite-only and provided as-is.
02 · BETA STATUS, AVAILABILITY
Stenvrik is experimental software under active development. There is no guarantee of availability, accuracy, completeness, or continued operation. Features may change or disappear, data may be reset, and access may be granted, limited, or revoked at any time without notice. The service confers no entitlement to use; an invite is a personal, non-transferable courtesy.
03 · THIRD-PARTY CONTENT
All headlines, excerpts, and images shown in Stenvrik originate from third-party publishers via their public RSS feeds and remain the property of their respective rights holders. Stenvrik attributes every item to its source and links to the original. The operator does not adopt third-party content as his own and is not responsible for its accuracy. Reading the full article happens on the publisher's site under the publisher's terms.
04 · ACCEPTABLE USE
- Personal, non-commercial reading use is welcome.
- No scraping, bulk downloading, or republishing of the aggregated feed.
- No attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
- No automated access beyond what a normal browser session generates.
05 · INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Stenvrik name, design, code, and original content are the property of the operator. Third-party content remains with its rights holders (see § 03). Nothing in these terms grants a license beyond ordinary use of the website.
06 · LIABILITY
The operator is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence, liability exists only upon breach of essential contractual duties (Kardinalpflichten), limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Liability for the content of linked third-party sites is excluded; at the time of linking no legal violations were apparent.
07 · PRIVACY
Data processing is described in the privacy policy. Short version: no accounts, no analytics, no tracking.
08 · CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
These terms may be updated as the service evolves — for example when the beta opens up. The current version always lives at stenvrik.com/terms.html; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
09 · GOVERNING LAW, FINAL PROVISIONS
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a merchant within the meaning of the HGB, the place of jurisdiction is the operator's seat. Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
