The short version: no accounts, no analytics, no ad tech, no tracking cookies. Stenvrik fetches a JSON, draws a globe, and keeps your filters in your own browser. What little processing remains is listed below.

02 · WHAT STENVRIK DOES NOT DO
- No user accounts and no registration.
- No analytics or audience-measurement scripts.
- No advertising and no ad-tech embeds.
- No tracking cookies — Stenvrik sets no cookies at all.
- No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.
03 · SERVER LOGS (HOSTING)
stenvrik.com is hosted in Germany by ALL-INKL.COM — Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit, the web server automatically logs technical access data: requested URL, date and time, transferred data volume, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and your IP address.
This data is processed to deliver the site reliably and securely (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest in stable, secure operation). Log data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted on the hoster's standard rotation schedule. A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) per Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hoster.
04 · FEED API (CLOUDFLARE EDGE)
The live news data shown in the Stenvrik app is served through an edge cache operated by Cloudflare, Inc. When the app fetches headlines, your IP address is technically processed by Cloudflare to answer the request and to protect the service against abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process this data on servers outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. No content of your reading behavior is stored server-side; responses are identical cached objects for all visitors, refreshed roughly every ten minutes.
05 · WEB FONTS (GOOGLE FONTS)
This site currently loads the typefaces Fraunces and IBM Plex Mono from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When the page loads, your browser connects to Google servers and transmits your IP address so the font files can be delivered (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Details: policies.google.com/privacy. Self-hosted fonts are planned, which will remove this connection entirely.
06 · DATA THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Pinned cities, topic filters, watchlists, starred stories, triage state, and brief history live in your browser's sessionStorage / localStorage on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to or readable by the operator. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.
07 · CONTACT BY E-MAIL
If you write to hello@stenvrik.com (for example to request a beta invite), your e-mail address and the content of your message are processed solely to handle the request (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). Messages are deleted once the matter is concluded, unless statutory retention duties apply.
08 · EXTERNAL LINKS
Stenvrik links every headline to the original article on the publisher's website. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that publisher applies.
09 · YOUR RIGHTS · IHRE RECHTE
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR) — what data, if any, is processed about you.
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR).
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).

10 · NO AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
No profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
11 · CHANGES
This policy is updated when the service changes — for example when fonts move to self-hosting. The current version always lives at stenvrik.com/privacy.html.
